Mutated Expeditions are more challenging versions of existing Expeditions.
Every Mutated Expedition will have 10 difficulties, ranging from only having a single set of Mutations at level 1 to having 3 fully upgraded sets of Mutations at level 10.
You need to complete the regular version of the Expedition before being able to participate in the mutated version.
Element Mutators:
Void - Eternal
Fire - Hellfire
Nature- Overgrown
Ice - Icebound
Promotion (Mob Buffs)
Indomitable
Savage
Oppressive
Barbaric
Curse (Player Debuffs)
The Curse changes each week to match the Element.
Desiccated
Censored
Fiendish
Frenzied
Mutation Levels 1& 2 will only have a Mutation, 3, 4& 5 Mutations, and Promotions, and 6, 7, 8, 9& 10 will have Mutators, Promotions, and a curse.
Scoring Mechanics
Your group will earn a score that will determine your ranking at the end. You will be rewarded either Bronze, Silver, or Gold.
- Bronze: Any score less than 25,000 points
- Silver: 25,000 – 49,999
- Gold: 50,000 & above
Almost everything you do in an Expedition can provide a bonus to the score.
You must achieve minimum a Silver ranking to progress to the next level of the Mutation. The score is determined by several different factors, including:
- Clear Time: The better your team's completion time of the mutation the better your score will be.
- Regular Enemies Kills: A target value for killing a predetermined amount of enemies within the Expedition.
- Named Enemies Kills: Killing all the mini-bosses is essential for the score.
- Team Wipes: Every team wipe during a boss encounter will reduce the score by a significant amount.
- Respawns: Each respawn (death not down) will reduce the score by a moderate amount.
- Gatherable: Gathering all the nodes will provide you with a score bonus.
Getting Gold Rank in a Mutated Expedition can be tricky on higher levels.

Ideal Armor Weight
You should always use light armor if you have 5x Ward on your Armor.
- DPS should be Light, 5-200 CON depending on experience.
- The Healer needs to be Light for the 30% healing bonus.
- The Tank can be Heavy, Medium, or Light based on the dungeon and his experience (Light in Genesis, Medium or Heavy in Lazarus, and Heavy in Corrupted Expeditions).

Armor Perks
The ideal 3 perk combo is Ward+ Skill Perk+ Refreshing.
Your armor should have at least Ward on all pieces.
Armor Gems
Based on the Mutation Element you want to use elemental gems in your armor and jewelry, the recommended setup is running 58.1% mutation-specific resistance, attainable with 8x mutation-specific gems.
– Void (Eternal): Cut Pristine Amethyst
– Fire (Hellfire): Cut Pristine Ruby
– Eternal (Nature): Cut Pristine Amber
– Icebound (Ice): Cut Pristine Aquamarine
You can get "Punishing" rune gems for extra DPS. (Ex: Runeglass of Punishing Amethyst)
